A community wellbeing partner, built to fit how Ireland already works.
Sorrel Sanctuary is designed to work alongside the health service, GPs, schools and community groups, reaching people earlier, in the community, through routes that already exist in Irish health policy.
What social prescribing is, and where we fit.
Social prescribing is a real, funded HSE programme. It lets a GP or health professional refer someone to non-clinical, community-based support, for stress, isolation, low mood or life pressures, instead of, or alongside, medication. It runs in more than 40 locations across Ireland today.
A person needs support
Someone visits their GP or health professional with stress, isolation or low mood that isn't only a medical issue.
A referral is made
The professional refers them to a link worker or community programme, free at the point of use, through the social-prescribing route.
The community delivers
Sorrel Sanctuary is designed to be a delivery partner here: structured, safe, group-based wellbeing programmes people can be referred into.
People reconnect earlier
Support arrives before crisis point, the whole point of prevention-first, community-based care.

Structured SLAs with health services or local bodies to deliver defined programmes to agreed standards, capacity and outcomes.
Referral partnerships
Working with GPs, link workers and social-prescribing services so professionals have a credible, safe local place to refer people into.

Register your interest in referring.
If you're a GP, link worker, community lead or public-sector partner, tell us about your setting and the people you support. We'll share how a referral or partnership could work.
